A student of Mount Gaurishankar HSS, Smriti Neupane is crowned the Miss World Nepal 2015 in a ceremony held at Rashtriya Naachghar, Jamal. 13-year old Smriti was one of the 38 finalist contestants in the pageant of girls aged 9 to 14 years olds. Contestants from 18 schools in Kathmandu had participated in the contest.
After winning the title, Smriti was awarded Rs. 30,000 in cash and other gift hampers. 11-years-old Ayusha Adhikari from Graded English Medium School (GEMS) was the first runner up and another student from GEMS, 12-years-old Sneha Bajracharya, was the second runner up in the competition.
Nirjala Karki from Modern Indian School and Prashuna Sapkota from GEMS were declared the third runner up and fourth runner up in respectively.
After winning the title, Smriti Neupane will represent Nepal in the 15th Little Miss World contest to be held in Turkey from September 27 to October 3, 2015.
The contest was organized by Nepalese Council. The contest was the fifth edition of the pageant. The contest was held on Saturday, August 29.
