Miss International Nepal 2016, Barsha Lekhi, has won the Missiology Public Choice Awards at the Miss International 2016 beauty contest held in Tokyo Japan on October 27, 2016. Barsha was one of the representatives of 69 contestants, who were representing their countries.
What is Miss International ?
Miss International is one of the top 4 beauty contests in the world comprising of the Miss World, Miss Universe and the Miss Earth beauty contests. The Tokyo-based international beauty pageant was held for the first time in 1960 in Long Beach, California, USA. The contestants in the beauty contest are expected to serve as “Ambassadors of Peace and Beauty”, demonstrating tenderness, benevolence, friendship, beauty, intelligence, ability to take action, and, most importantly, a great international sensibility. According to the official document, the ultimate goal of the Miss International beauty pageant is to promote world peace, goodwill, and understanding.

The Miss Nepal International 2015, Medha Koirala, has left to go to Tokyo, Japan to participate in Miss International 2015 on October 16. A press meet was organized to inform about Medha’s participation in the contest. In the press meet Medha appreciated the help of everybody despite the earthquake and economic blockade by India.
Medha is taking ‘Project Muskan’ in the international contest. Medha had helped the 13 orphan children of Muskan Sewa Nepal in Baneshowr by providing music therapy. Medha had trained the children with the help of three other helpers from Nepal Music Center.
The top three winners of Miss Nepal 2014 beauty contest have started to leave Nepal to participate in international beauty contests being held in different countries.

Miss Nepal International Sonie Rajbhandari has already left for Japan to participate in Miss International 2014 beauty contest to be held in Tokyo on October 21, 2014. The contest is being held on November 11, 2014 in Tokyo, Japan.
Miss Nepal International 2014, Sonie Rajbhandari, is leaving for Japan to represent Nepal in Miss International 2014 contest.
Sonie said, “I am overjoyed to receive hundreds upon hundreds of your best wishes & messages as I prepare to depart to Japan to participate in Miss International 2014.”

Miss Nepal International 2014 Sonie Rajbhandari is currently in her hometown Pokhara. Sonie shared a warm welcome she received at her previous school, Gandaki Boarding School recently:
I was invited to my old school, Gandaki Boarding School today. After a heartwarming welcome at the morning school assembly, I spent sometime speaking with the principal, vice principal and my previous teachers while all the students headed to their classes.
In a Facebook message, Miss Nepal International 2013, Shritima Shah has told that she will try her best to make the country proud in the finale to be held on December 16, 2013. She also thanked everybody for the votes, training and designing her dresses.
Miss Japan teaches Shritima making Japanese tea.

The 53rd edition of Miss International will take place on December 17, 2013 in Shinagawa Prince Hotel Hall, Tokyo, Japan. The current Miss International is Ikumi Yoshimatsu of Japan.
